THE FUTURE OF STRIP SHOPPING?
OUT AND ABOUT ON THE STRIP
Shop the Strip were lucky enough to be interviewed by Natalie Coulter for her presentation to the International Retail Design Conference, IRDC in Chicago in September. STS has featured Natalie’s work in Paddington with her collaboration with Robby Ingham and the Belle Flaneur installations on Oxford St for the Australia vs. Wales test earlier this year.
We headed to Museum Clothing to discuss the Shop the Strip initiative, our work with the Paddington Business Partnership (PBP) and the challenges independent retailers face in reinventing themselves in the digital age.
It was a fitting location for the interview as the owner of Museum clothing, Micheak Seika (pictured below), established the label in the mid 80’s and the brand has been a long time resident on the Oxford St strip @ 296 Oxford St Paddington.

It’s great to get the conversation started with a group of people who are dedicated (like us) to revitalising strip shopping in Paddington.
Many thanks to Dane Ingram for these photos.
